Position Overview:

The Creative Services Manager position requires a unique combination of graphic design and proposal development skills, knowledge, and experience. You are a dynamic and hard-working professional with a contemporary design aesthetic and able to quickly and effectively respond to lead and RFP projects brought in by our sales and business development team, senior management or our global DMC partner, HG, as well as assigned projects.

Meeting Management, General Destination Management and Event Services sold include: tours, experiences & evening activity programs to meeting and incentive management companies, corporate special events, meeting support services, general meeting management services, registration, on-site staffing, transportation management services, convention in-conjunction programs and in-coming corporate & association conventions of 100 – 10,000 attendees.

The power to create program proposals that yield profitable results is critical. The Creative Services Manger must exhibit integrity, a passion for the industry and a talent for developing powerful

The CSM must have:

  • Creative skills in creating PowerPoint proposals, proposal graphics and other creative assets.
  • Collaborative skills to lead a project team, while able to multi-task, enjoy working under pressure, and problem solve; plus the skill to conduct all business matters fairly, honestly and ethically and with the utmost professionalism
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills including: Adobe Photoshop (Illustrator and Lightroom nice-to-have);  Powerpoint and Excel; ability to learn and leverage our proprietary proposal platform.
  • Follow up with sales team on status of pending proposals
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Event, DMC, Third Party, or Hospitality related industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, or Travel/Tourism or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work on several projects at once.
  • Innovative thinking and a fresh design aesthetic
  • Confident presentation and written skills
  • Financial acumen and understanding of pricing models and profit margin
  • An eagerness to stay in tune with what’s new, and changing trends
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with enthusiasm
  • Conduct all business matters fairly, honestly and ethically and with the utmost professionalism.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • A plus: A passion for experiential marketing, developing powerful event narratives and brand stories for proposals.
  • Nice-to-have but not required: Experience in special event operations and destination management, as well as, dealing with all levels of client programs.

Principal Responsibilities:  

The Creative Services Manager is responsible to:

  • Participate on project teams to produce valuable program solutions for clients based on their requirements
  • Prepare and assemble materials for proposals & client presentations that position Key Events as an industry leader
  • Analyze proposals and budgets to ensure they are accurate and meet clients’ objectives
  • Develop and maintain sales & marketing resource materials
  • Ensure that office sales & marketing materials are consistent with companywide branding efforts
  • Arrange and participate in client site inspections; Provide On-Site support and guidance when requested
  • Ensure project deadlines are met; the nature of our industry requires working nights and weekends locally and beyond to achieve required results.

Minimum requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Event, DMC, Third Party, or Hospitality related industries.
