Our holiday season is right around the corner and we’re thinking about things that glow in dark. From glowing furniture and decor to dancetronauts to fluorescent cotton candy, these glow-in-the-dark activations deliver impactful ways to create surprise and delight at live events. Key Events was recently tapped to create this annual celebration for 3,500 people at San Francisco’s AT&T Ballpark.
Key’s producers were given two reference points as a design launching point: “Contemporary festival aesthetic with an eighties vibe”.
“Festival meets eighties was music to our ears said, Kristen Konopka, Sr. Event Producer at Key Events. Bringing back a previous age can be tricky and if not crafted carefully, can come off as a cheezy attempt to replicate a specific age. Having a longstanding relationship with our client we were deeply embedded in their culture and new exactly what to deliver.” Konopka and her team quickly got to work concepting digital design boards which would serve as a creative reference for the entire team, both customer and key-side.
The objective: create an unforgettable, inspiring night.
The experience needed to offer something for everyone and Key designers were strategic in their approach, curating several original vignettes throughout the Festival.
Theme was important but our main objective was to create an unforgettable and epically fun night and we delivered on all fronts. – Kristin Konopka, Sr. Event Manager, Key Events
